OLG CHARITABLE GAMING CENTRE
One of the goals of the chorus is to give of our time and talents to enrich the life of our community. The funds we received from volunteering at Kennedy Road Charitable Gaming Association recently allowed us to significantly enrich the life of our community – literally! In 2023, we were able to deliver generous financial contributions to four community agencies which do so much to support those in need: NeighbourLink North York, the Salvation Army, North York Community House and North York Harvest Food Bank. Thank you Kennedy Road Charitable Gaming Association for helping us to fulfill our mission. Visit our "Latest News" page to view cheque presentation photos.
If you belong to a charitable or non-profit organization looking for new fundraising opportunities, take a look at this link and consider volunteering at one of Ontario's Charitable Gaming Centres for a few hours a month in return for a share of their proceeds. https://www.globalheroes.com/successful-fundraising-with.../

CONGRATULATIONS TO STACEY MCKAY AND MEENA PURI -- OUR NEWEST CHORUS MEMBERS. AN ENTHUSIASTIC WELCOME FROM ALL OF US!
At the beginning of November, the chorus welcomed 15 enthusiastic women who took up our invitation to come out and learn some Holiday songs with us in four-part harmony. We were excited that several women chose to join each of the harmony parts, as well as several choosing to sing the lead or melody part. After four rehearsal evenings, we put on a performance featuring the Toronto Accolades and highlighting this year's "Holiday Chorus". Special guest performers were the North Toronto Songbirds children's choir and two terrific quartets -- brand new Belles and Whistles and Silver Medalists in this year's Ontario Men's Competition, Constructive Criticism. The venue at Earl Bales Community Centre was filled to capacity by an enthusiastic audience of friends and family of chorus members and our special holiday chorus singers. We are pleased to say that 3 of those holiday chorus singers have since joined the chorus!
